PDXplorer: The best way to create, edit and view PDX packages - FREE!

PDXplorer
opens, creates and edits PDX files that conform with the IPC-257x standards
for Product Data eXchange (PDX).
These IPC standards define the format for data shared between supply chain partners. Product lifecycle management (PLM) applications often export PDX packages to downstream manufacturing and support applications that can import product data.
PDXplorer offers a clean, straight-forward user interface, coupled with an adaptable data parsing engine. Since PDX files can occasionally have varying attribute values depending upon the IPC implementation, PDXplorer examines common format differences to determine how best to open the PDX file.
PDXplorer Viewer/Editor is FREE for personal and organization use - view and edit PDX files at no cost, securely on your own computer.

Complement an Oracle Agile™ implementation
PDXplorer is a useful complement to Agile PLM (product lifecycle management) and Agile eXpress. Whether you just need limited PDX management capability to accept Agile files, or you need to augment the capabilities of Agile eXpress, you'll find PDXplorer a convenient and effective tool.
Convert between PDX formats
PDXplorer will save files in IPC-2571 format. In addition, PDXplorer also allows you to save files in Agile 7, Agile 8, and Agile 9 formats (which vary slightly from IPC-2571).
Accept PDX data from your supply chain partners
PDXplorer
allows full read/write access to the PDX packages that you receive
from other IPC-2571 users. Perhaps your customer or supplier
has adopted Agile as their PLM software, but you can't afford to install
Agile simply to read their PDX packages. PDXplorer lets you view
file attachments, change approvals, as-built product serial numbers
and any other Agile PDX data without buying an Agile license.
Address Agile eXpress limitations
Most versions of Agile eXpress implement a proprietary version of PDX that does not use the standard 2571.dtd file published by the IPC, and Agile eXpress may not read all IPC-2571 compliant PDX files. Because PDXplorer uses the published IPC-2571 DTD file, it may be a better choice for building a standards-based supply chain.
Copy data from any PDX package into a new file
Agile eXpress cannot create a PDX package unless it's connected to Agile's eHub. But PDXplorer opens PDX files and allows you to merge data into a new PDX file that's IPC-2571 compliant or works with Agile 7, 8 or 9.
